After a 20-year career in education as a teacher and administrator, Martha entered the real estate world in 1983. She has earned the GRI and CRS designations as well as the status of associate broker. For ten years she has been in the Athens Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club and has thus earned the Phoenix award. As President of the Women's Council of Realtors in 1988, she also was designated to serve on the Athens Board of Realtors Board of Directors.
She is active in the First Baptist Church of Athens, has taught in the youth department in recent years and is currently President of a large adult Sunday school class.
Martha's interests include travel, bridge, reading, plays, gardening, antiques and decorating, cooking and entertaining. Four grown children and three grandchildren also qualify as a primary interest in her life.
She received a B.A. degree in sociology from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, an M.Ed degree and an Education Specialist degree from the University of Georgia, having maintained a 4.0 average for the latter two degrees.
Helping customers and clients to find a home that meets their needs and desires is an interesting and fulfilling challenge for Martha. Knowledge of the market and financing options, freedom from home duties and obligations, and a love of meeting people from various places and walks of life all blend together to make her the right person to help you in your move to Athens. In addition, she is a "detail" person and will anticipate any problems, handle them effectively, and be at your service for any special request you might have to make your move a smooth and happy one.
