John started his real estate career in the Lake Oconee area in January of 1996 after working for legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus in his golf course design firm. In his position as Golf Course Design Coordinator, his credits include the consistently top ranked Great Waters course at Reynolds Plantation at Lake Oconee.
Since becoming a REALTOR® in 1996, John has taken the same drive and determination he had with the Nicklaus organization to be the best in his field and has become a multiple award winning REALTOR®. He has been an active member of the Million Dollar Club, for both the Lake Oconee Board of Realtors and the Athens Area Association of Realtors. He has been awarded the REALTOR® Spirit award twice, 1999 and 2003, the REALTOR® Service Award in 2002, ERA's Largest Transaction of the year award in 2002, has been awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from the President of the Lake Oconee Area Association of REALTORS® in 2001 and in 1999 included in the Coldwell Banker International Diamond Society for being in the top 20% of all Coldwell Banker agents in the United State. In 2003, John received the prestigious President's Award from LOAAR.
Before joining the Athens Board of REALTORS® in March of 2004, John served in the positions of both Local and State Director as well as the positions of Vice-President and President-Elect for the Lake Oconee board of REALTORS®.
