Joan Laughton is a graduate of Kent State University in Ohio with a bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree in communication disorders and special education. She was a faculty member at the University of Georgia for over 18 years, where she prepared graduate students and worked with children with special needs and their families.
As a resident of Clarke County with her husband for the past 23 years, Joan knows the neighborhoods, the schools, the community organizations, and the resources in the area.
The focus she brings to real estate from many years of working with children with special needs and their families is one of caring, service and determination to help people meet their goals. She is committed to delivering the time, experience and expertise to her clients so they may realize their home buying and selling goals. Her philosophy is that buying or selling a home should be exciting, enjoyable and stress-free.
