David is from Memphis, TN. He has lived in the Athens area with his wife Terri since 1986. They have 2 sons, Nathan and Lee that attended and graduated from the Oglethorpe County school system and now enjoy spoiling their granddaughter Kenley.
He attended Shelby State College, Memphis State University (now named Univ. of Memphis) and Union University in Jackson, TN. His studies were in Business Administration with a second in Piano. David has lived in Tennessee, Illinois, and Rochester, NY and now resides in Georgia. He successfully owned and operated "Barclay Home Improvements" for over 20 years in various markets. David also owned and operated his own trucking business for 15 years nationally and Canada.
With over 30 years of entrepreneurial experience David has learned that the key to success comes by treating people fairly with focus on details. As a result of growing up a son of a Baptist preacher, he has learned the importance of helping others and the rewards of seeing others benefit from the results of hard work.
With David's experience in home building and Terri's interest in staging and home design, they know what does and does not work when helping families find their ideal home and in listing homes in the current market.
