Carla is originally from Columbus, GA, where she grew up working in her father's real estate office. She moved to Athens in 1989 where she attended the University of Georgia. In 1993, she graduated from the Grady College of Journalism with a major in advertising and a minor in Spanish. While in school, she worked at the Athens YMCA as a youth coach and at The Red and Black newspaper as advertising manager. After graduation, Carla worked as an advertising representative at the Athens Banner-Herald and Athens Magazine. Her recent work in direct mail marketing has increased her knowledge of the Athens area. With 17 years of advertising experience, Carla has great ideas on how to market homes.
Carla volunteers her time as a member of the Athens Area Cancer Auxiliary and is a member of First United Methodist Church of Athens.
She enjoys playing tennis and plays for the Oconee County Women's Business League. Her volunteer work and her role as a Realtor® keeps Carla in constant touch with the community, a responsibility she enjoys.
