Carey Leierzapf is a 1993 graduate of North Carolina University. She earned a full scholarship in the sport of gymnastics and received a B.A. in Communications. As a student athlete Carey was awarded M.V.P. and chosen to be team captain by her peers.
In 1994 while starting a coaching position at North Carolina State University, Carey earned her real estate license. Since then she has never looked back. "Real estate was a new an exciting career that really fit my personality." She states. "Like coaching I enjoy giving people the knowledge and skills to be successful in their endeavors."
Carey started selling real estate in one of the hottest, most competitive real estate markets in the country. There she became a multi- million dollar producer. She was awarded with top sales and listing agent of the month and top 3 gross commissions in her office of 100 agents.
In 1999 Carey moved to Athens and currently resides in Oconee with her husband Ed and their two children. Active in the community Carey believes that the Athens market is a smart choice for a solid real estate investment as well as a wonderful place to live. She loves working with Buyers and Sellers and providing them with attentive service for all their real estate needs, and says "I love that Athens is just getting started in its growth.
